SPECIAL NEEDS HOMESCHOOLING CONFERENCE

This one day conference will include topics such as navigating IEPs and the Jon Peterson scholarship, local resources, individualized curriculum planning, identifying your child's needs, and encouragement for the journey.
Our speakers will be Jessica LaDow and Libby Booker, speech pathologists at Leaps and Sounds and Becky Clark, former associate teacher of special needs children and homeschooling mom.
$25/husband and wife; $15/individual
Lunch included.

Does the idea of homeschooling intimidate you? Let us take the fear out of reclaiming your child's education.
Veteran home educators will present information including, but not limited to:
~ the definition and legalities of home education
~ socialization vs socializing
~ curriculum and learning styles
~ parent directed online options
~ community support and resources
~ special needs
~ multi-grade homeschooling
~ single parent and/or full time work households
~ financial concerns
The evening will include a question and answer time.

You have explored the idea of home education and are ready to begin! Come learn how to start off on the right foot. In this workshop we will cover:
​
~ what the current requirements are in Ohio
~ how to file a Notice of Intent to Home Educate
~ how to create an outline of intended resources
~ how to create an outline of intended curriculum
~ the NEW and simplified home education law that takes effect in October 2023
~ how to answer all the "You're doing what!?" questions
The evening will be a relaxed time to have your questions answered.
